Weight gain is a symptom
Let’s be clear from the start; excess weight is never the problem, but rather a symptom of one or more other physical and/or emotional problem(s). Human bodies are programmed for survival.  Your body has gained weight in an attempt to adapt to the physical and emotional conditions it’s been subjected to throughout your life. For you to successfully lose weight you need to become aware of the reasons why your body has felt the need to adapt by gaining weight and then be willing to make a few changes the physical and emotional conditions in which your body exists.  Doing so will naturally cause your body to adapt again, but this time, by losing weight.

Your mind impacts your body
Due to the mindbody connection, whatever your mind believes, perceives and experiences has the potential of getting sent to the rest of your body causing physical responses.  Immediate mindbody connection responses include getting a red face when embarrassed, your mouth watering when you think of a food you love or experiencing butterflies in your stomach when you’re anxious about something.  But the impacts of the mindbody connection don’t stop there.  Gradual weight gain is one of the more subtle examples of the mindbody connection in action.  By overcoming the hidden mental and emotional causes of weight gain you can more easily create and enjoy the body you want, for life.
