FAQ's about Mindbody Detox Retreat in Turkey Here is some very useful information to help you organise your retreat.
Background: This retreat is held at a purpose-built detox centre in Turkey owned and run by “The Life Co” that offers Body Detox retreats all year round. As Sandy knows them very well (he filmed a TV series at the venue a couple years ago), they invite him out to run Mind AND Body Detox retreats at their beautiful venue. This means that you will be following their proven and powerful Body Detox schedule and receive additional Mind Detox talks, workshops and support from Sandy and his team.

Getting to the Venue: We usually fly with Turkish Airlines or British Airways from London Heathrow to Istanbul and then Turkish Airlines from Istanbul to Bodrum/Milas. You may prefer to fly Turkish Airlines the entire way. It's about a 40 minute drive from the airport to the venue (with some stunning views of the coast along the way). Transfers usually cost around £40.
Arrival / Start Times: Your Mindbody Detox Retreat starts on a Saturday and ends on a Saturday (7 days later). We recommend you arrive on the Friday evening flight from Istanbul to Bodrum/Milas so you can settle in and be ready to start your Body Detox on Saturday morning . We have agreed with the venue that you can stay on the Friday night for absolutely free. Please remember, the Body Detox is run by TheLifeCo team so the introductory Body Detox talk will be with them. The Mind Detox officially starts at 6pm on the Saturday. The reason for the Mind Detox starting in the early evening is to give you a chance to get settled in and started on your Body Detox.
Food: There is no food served at the detox retreat centre. Instead you will receive juice-shakes and supplements everyday. There is no “last supper” when you arrive or “breaking the fast breakfast”. So you may want to take some healthy snacks (nuts, seeds etc) with you just in-case you get peckish on the way to/from the venue (not to be consumed during your detox though!!!)
Pre-cleanse diet: When you book, you will receive a complimentary copy of Sandy 's book, Life Detox, approximately 2 weeks prior to your detox retreat. Life Detox includes guidelines and recipes that we recommend you follow for at least 7 days prior to your arrival. By following the diet you will help to prepare your body and get much better results from your detox retreat.
Payment 1: If you have not paid your deposit yet, then please do so. The £500 deposit can be paid by debit or credit card by calling +44 (0)131 208 4828. If you want to pay by cheque please make it payable to “Amazing Now” and send it to Amazing Now, 47a Barnton Park View, Edinburgh, EH4 6HH as soon as possible.
Payment 2: Once you have paid your deposit the Bodrum detox centre will contact you directly and ask you to complete their separate booking form. In this form you will provide information regarding any medical conditions we should know about along with your arrival time into Bodrum/Milas airport so they can organise your transfers for you. It is at this point TheLifeCo will take the remainder of the amount due.
Clothing: The weather is usually lovely and warm during the day; however, the evenings can occasionally turn cooler so we recommend you bring both light “summer” clothing with a few warmer items for the evening time.

You can pay for additional therapies by debit or credit card direct to TheLifeCo at the end of your stay. I also bring a couple therapists from my own team with me. They usually prefer payment in Euros if possible so you may want to bring a little extra cash with you. One-to-one Mind Detox consultations with Sandy are not included in the price, instead, he offers a special reduced retreat rate of £75/hour (50% his usual fee). You will have lots of time to chat so you may find you don't actually need an “official consultation” with Sandy .
Other useful items: We recommend you bring non-toxic mosquito and sun protection with you along with some after sun moisturiser. Towels, slippers, bathrobes are all provided.
