The peace that is always present

I was the classic goal setter; so much so that by my mid-twenties I had accomplished many things both personally and professionally.  Yet despite the perceived success, I was not at peace yet, nor was I that happy either.

It was around that time that I decided enough was enough. All the stuff I had accumulated and achieved had not given me the peace and happiness that I hoped, in my soul, was possible.  I was open for an alternative way of being and living and within a few days a friend introduced me to way of 'meditating' called the Ishayas' Ascension.  I wasn't that interested because I had tried meditating before and hadn't enjoyed it.  My friend encouraged me that 'this one was different, it was the real deal, and gives very quick results' so I thought I'd give it a go.

The positive benefits from practicing it were immediate. I noticed how, quite magically, things that used to upset or worry me, didn’t. If things didn’t happen as I had anticipated, whether it be at work or socially, I found myself being more relaxed, open-minded and going with the flow. Things started working out better than I could have possibly imagined. I enjoyed more fun and loving relationships as I became more present when interacting with people. Over time, and with very little effort, the aspects of my life that were not aligned with my highest good fell away and I was left with a more simple, authentic and enjoyable life.

Since then I have gone on to become a qualified teacher of the Ishayas' Ascension meditation.  This required me to go to the Island of Patmos in Greece where I meditated day and night for 10 weeks!  I then 'completed' my course in Mexico where I spent a further 14 weeks exploring the nature of the mind and stabalised my experience of resting in the peace of the present moment.

I've discovered that by becoming present I experience peace and joy and love and contentment and so much more... immediately! Because when I am present, I directly experience my awareness that is aware of this moment.  And that awareness is already at peace and perfectly contented - always.  Always has been and always will be.  Before learning to Ascend I had been constantly leaving my peace by putting all my attention on the thoughts moving through my mind.   By simply moving my attention back to the still silent space that exists within me (within all of us), I naturally return to the infinite peace of the present moment.

I invite you to melt into the magnificent moment, too, and open yourself up to the amazing gifts this universe has to offer by learning how to Ascend beyond your mind... the possibilities are truly infinite!
