"Minding the gap"
Happy New Year! January is the time of year many people evaluate their life and set goals. I’m aware I’ve shared this article about ‘minding the gap’ in my newsletter before, nevertheless, it is so important to remember, I thought I’d share it again this year!
Setting goals creates a gap between where you are now and where you anticipate being in the future. If you are not mindful of the gap it is easy to become focused on how things aren’t how you want them to be. It can lead to you becoming dissatisfied with your current set of circumstances. You can find yourself being very future-focused, making comments like, “I’ll be happy when”, which postpones your enjoyment of the magnificent moment you’re in.
You arrived the day you were born. You are complete as you are. Minding the gap is about embracing every step of your life journey – irrespective of how it appears at first glance. When making changes to your body or life, be aware of and accept the gap. Doing so opens you up for abundance to flow into your life. Focus less on improving, doing and achieving. Focus more on loving, being and attracting. This way there is no stress and you aren’t putting your happiness on hold. Take actions consistent with the reality you want to manifest; trusting it will happen in the perfect way at the perfect time.
