"Mind Mastery meditation instructions"
You are not your thoughts. Instead, you are the infinite consciousness that is aware of your thoughts. And that awareness is always at peace and perfectly contented. It is your True Self because it is permanent. Everything else, including your body, your emotions, your thoughts and your life circumstances are constantly changing. It is therefore impossible to find peace and stability in that which is constantly changing. You are simply looking in the wrong place.
The average person thinks as many as 100,000 thoughts every day. To experience more peace and happiness, many people attempt to change their thought so they are all positive, however this is an almost impossible task that in itself can be very stressful! Alternatively, I recommend you keep life simple and easy by only changing one thing: namely, your relationship with the 100,000 thoughts, so they no longer bother you. If you think you are your thoughts you will be a puppet on a string. Unconsciously reacting to the random movement of your mind. Whereby if you happen to have negative thoughts you will feel bad. Mind mastery is when you stop unconsciously reacting to the thoughts passing through your mind and instead, let your attention rest in the infinite peace that is your True Self.
Meditation need not be difficult. In fact, practised correctly, it can be the easiest, enjoyable and fulfilling thing you ever do. Three simple steps to meditate:
STEP ONE
Be comfortable: Thankfully, you do not have to sit cross legged on the cold floor of a cave somewhere in the Himalayas to successfully meditate! You can do it very well in the comfort of your own home on a seat, sofa or even lying on your bed. Once you are perfectly comfortable, gently close your eyes and let your mind go loose. It may help to begin by imagining placing a warm smile on the top of your head and letting it melt down through your mind and body soothing and softening your entire Being as it melts all the way down and out the bottoms of your feet.
STEP TWO
Allow everything: Continue by gently observing your thoughts as if they are passing clouds in the sky. Never resist thoughts as they are a natural by-product of stress releasing from your body due to the mindbody connection. By accepting them completely, and letting them come and go like the waves at the beach, you lower the stress impact your thoughts have upon your body.
STEP THREE
Prioritise your peace: You can only think one thought at a time. It makes sense to put your attention on thoughts that have a positive impact upon your mind and body. You can enhance your meditative experience by occasionally tbringing your attention back to this present moment by thinking positive affirmation, such as “all is well”, “I am complete” or “I am loved” and so on. It doesn’t matter if you don’t necessarily believe the positive thoughts, yet, because you will still help your body to heal every time you prioritise peace by thinking thoughts that are peaceful and uplifting.
Ideally, I recommend around 10-20 minutes of meditation 2 or 3 times every day; before you get out of bed in the morning, early evening and just before bed. If you cannot find time to sit down and close your eyes in peace, then you can silently repeat the positive affirmations to yourself. Through short and regular stints of meditation throughout your day you can more easily maintain a relaxed and positive mindset, reduce stress and even speed up weight loss.
If you are interested in prioritising your peace then I highly recommend you learn the Ishayas’ Ascension meditation because it is the most powerful form of meditation that I’ve have discovered. It is what helped me to experience permanent peace, joy and fulfilment. For more info and event bookings see the Ascension Meditation section of this website.
