“From problems to peace with a new perspective”
All pain, negative emotions and stress are the results of one thing. Yes, that’s right, one thing. And by becoming aware of the cause, you become able to make a choice as to whether you continue to experience problems or not.
Over the past few years I’ve had the opportunity to work with hundreds of clients using the Mind Detox Method. And I’ve noticed that every consultation has a theme as to what we are ultimately doing. That is, by using the Mind Detox Method, the clients find subtle unconscious resistances in their life and during the course of the meeting move from a place of resistance to acceptance. And in making that simple shift in perspective, what used to be a problem for them, immediately stops being a problem.
This is possible because it is never what’s happening in life that causes us stress or negative emotions, but rather our resistance to what’s happening.
For you to experience anger, sadness, fear, guilt or grief, you have to be resisting something in your past, present or future. Sadness is usually the result of resisting something in your past, whereas fear and anxiety is usually caused by resisting something possibly happening in your future. Irrespective of the emotion, resistance is the underlying cause.
What’s happening right now is exactly what’s happening, right now. It just is. You can relax within what’s happening and take action whilst enjoying inner peace and contentment, or you can resist it. It is in the resistance to what’s happening that it becomes stressful for your mind and body and you start to experience negative emotions.
Just imagine; ALL negative emotions are the result of resistance. Therefore, you can live a life free from feeling angry or anxious, sad or scared, simply by choosing to prioritise your peace by no longer resisting the people, places, events or things in your life.
But what if something ‘bad’ is happening, do you just accept it? Yes, accept it, but accepting it doesn’t mean you can’t change it. Accepting it just means you don’t cause yourself unnecessary stress and suffering whilst you go about changing whatever isn’t acceptable to you.
When you are less stressed and not experiencing negative emotions you have more inner peace, mental clarity and confidence. From that more peaceful perspective, you become a very powerful person. You are able to choose to change your current circumstances if they are not acceptable to you. The only difference is you can make changes now without having to experience negative emotions to justify your choices. You simply decide for something different and allow whatever happens next.
