So what exactly happens during a MDM consultation?
You start by telling your MDM Practitioner about what you want help with. This is the part of the consultation that you can get your ‘story’ out of your head and in the safe hands of the MDM Practitioner.
Together you then decide on what specific issue you want to work on during that consultation. This might be a specific physical condition such as psoriasis or IBS, an emotional problem such as anxiety or grief, or a life problem such as financial issues or relationship difficulties.
The MDM Practitioner will then use the Mind Detox Method to help you to discover and resolve any potential underlying mental or emotional causes of your physical condition or life problem.
By the end of the consultation the goal is to feel emotionally neutral or even positive towards the old problematic events that you discover and discuss during the consultation. The proof is then in the pudding! So you go away home to see what changes occur in your body or life. If the problem is fixed then great! If it isn’t yet, then that’s fine too as you may need to return for a follow-up consultation to further explore other ‘root-cause reasons’ with your MDM Practitioner.
Do I have to talk at length about what happened in my past?
No!!! Your MDM Practitioner will allow a few minutes at the beginning of your consultation for you to share your ‘story’ so they can have a little context. But once they find out the root-cause event of WHAT potentially happened to cause your current problem, they will immediately help you move on exploring WHY what happened was a problem for you.
This is because it is never what happened that’s the problem, but instead, why what happened was a problem for you that is the REAL problem. In other words, it is the way you interpreted the past events and the subsequent emotions you felt and beliefs you formed as a result, that is the real problem. Working with WHY, you focus more on the unresolved emotions and unhealthy beliefs that are making WHAT happened still be a problem today.
As a result, the entire focus of the MDM Practitioner is to help you move on in the quickest most comfortable way possible. It is our belief the best way to do it is to focus on what you want rather than talk lots about what you don’t want.
"I'm delighted that you've decided to meet with a qualified MDM Practitioner. It has been an honour to train and qualify these MDM Practitioners and it is my hope that you get the results you are looking for from working with them."
